Hair Loss Treatment

At ReAlignMed we love each and every precious hair follicle on your heads, and we want you to keep them. But by the age of 35, approximately 66 percent of men will have experienced some degree of hair loss. Men typically lose their hair through the interaction of 3 major factors; age, hormones, and genetics. And with hair-loss, the quicker you move the more hair you save. Many guys start to see that little patch of hair on the crown of their heads get thinner, and they immediately pivot to covering it up or pretending like it’s not happening. We’re here to give you better, and more viable options than a growing hat collection.

Hair loss can be an embarrassing issue. Male and female pattern hair loss is a genetic problem that can leave you feeling helpless. Options like prescription drugs are often partially effective and carry the potential for unwanted side effects. Surgical hair restoration can be expensive and does not treat the underlying medical problems.

Now there is an affordable way for you to regain your hair density back without surgery or harmful side effects. Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP) for hair restoration involves a simple injection of your own platelets into the vascular layer of your scalp.

PRP FOR HAIR LOSS

One of our approaches to hair restoration for some of our clients involves getting injections of your own blood into your scalp to stimulate the hair follicles. After your consultation our physician will determine if this procedure could be right for you, then your blood will be drawn and processed through a centrifuge. Finally the activated blood blood cells will be injected into your scalp, using your body’s own healing factors to address the issue.

This quick injection involves using your body's own platelets in a very easy three-step process.

  1. Step One: A special collection tube is used to draw your blood and is placed into a centrifuge.

  2. Step Two: The concentrated platelets are drawn up into a syringe.

  3. Step Three: Using a small needle, the platelets are then injected strategically into your scalp in the areas that need improvement.

HOW PRP WORKS

Platelets contain healing growth factors. These factors are the signal callers that give instructions to your tissue to regenerate and multiply. This had led different fields of medicine to utilize PRP for wound healing to speed up recovery time and regrow healthier, stronger tissue.

Now doctors have discovered new benefits for hair thickening and regrowth. With PRP for Hair, your growth factors and stem cells work together to reverse the miniaturization of the hair follicle and jump starting dormant hair back into the growth storage.

HOW PRP WORKS

How do I know if I am a good candidate for PRP?

Talk to your physician for a proper diagnoses and to create a treatment plan

How many treatments are required?

Treatment will vary based on your need. Initially, your provider may recommend several treatments spaced 1 month apart. After the initial treatment, many physicians suggest maintenance treatments 2-3 times per year.

Is the PRP for hair restoration process time consuming?

No, collecting the PRP usually only takes 10-15 minutes. And the PRP treatment itself is even faster.

Does the procedure hurt?

There may be some sensitivity. However, most physicians utilize effective anesthetic solutions, such as cold ambient air or a topical analgesic to minimize any potential discomfort. Talk to your physicians about the right option for you.

Is there any recovery time?

There is no downtime or a long recover process. You may take a warm shower the evening of the treatment. In addition, it is advised to avoid using any harsh dyes or chemicals on your hair for 48 hours.

Is this a cure for baldness?

PRP is not a cure for baldness (Androgenetic Alopecia). The genetic medical problem will always remain. However, there is great evidence that regular treatments can significantly slow down the effects of Androgenetic Alopecia and even works to increase hair density.
